Expecting her second child, Oksana Kobletskaya of Odessa was excited and content with the life planned with her husband Sergey. However, early her pregnancy felt unique. At an ultrasound appointment, Oksana’s doctor surprised her when he detected not one, but five babies.
Such a rare quintuplet pregnancy is nearly unheard of and amazed everyone at the hospital. The couple was understandably overwhelmed, facing the challenges of caring for five newborns at once. When the time came, a team of eight doctors supported Oksana through a C-section delivery at 30 weeks, bringing three boys and two girls safely into the world.
The babies—Daria, Alexandra, Denis, Vladislav, and David—quickly became local celebrities as Ukraine’s first quintuplets. Now toddlers, they fill their family’s home with joy.
